This header is designed for any tube size up to 2 ¼”.
All the tubes are inside the frame.
It will fit with Smith Race Craft motor plates only.
All of our headers are hand made to order so we can make it for any cylinder head and deck height in any tube size you need, stepped or not.
The front and back tubes are single tubes and we use our slip on race collectors.

This header is available in 1 ¾”, 1 7/8”, 2”, 2 1/8” or 2 ¼” primary sizes.
Or we can build it as a step header in any combination you need.
Collectors can be 3”, 3 ½” or 4” depending on primary size, also, collector mufflers in up to 5” diameter.
This header has the 2 center tubes on each side going around the frame, so it is intended for drag type skinny front tires. May fit up to a 7” tire depending on wheel offset.
This header has good room for aftermarket A arms.

The engine must stay in the stock position either on solid side motor mounts or motor plates. Side mounts are Moroso #62630 frame mounts and Moroso #62515 engine mounts.
This header requires a Power Master #9540 or #9500 Nippondenso type starter, or #9526 for staggered mount. A stock starter or Hitachi type starter will not fit.

Measuring from the side of a stock oil pan we have 3 ¼” of room on the passenger side and 4 ¾” of room on the driver side for sump kick outs.
Spark plugs have good room, there is more room with angled spark plugs.
Oil filter has good access. With some kick out pans you may have to slide filter forward to get past sump.

This header will fit a power brake booster and clutch linkage, but will not fit a factory air conditioning box on the firewall or column shifter linkage.

This header is designed for any tube size UP TO 2” with any collector size UP TO 4”. All tubes are inside the frame. The engine MUST stay in the stock location.

What Fits:
The header will fit with side motor mounts or motor plates. It was designed with a Power Master #9540 or #9500 Nippondenso style starter and will NOT fit with a stock starter or Hitachi type mini starter. It was designed for aftermarket oil pans with side sump kick outs. The available room measuring from the side of a stock oil pan is 2 ½” on the passenger side and 3” at the top to 5” at the bottom on the driver side. With no kick out on the driver side of the oil pan the oil filter easily comes out. With a kick out pan the filter may or may not be trapped depending on the size of the kick out under the filter. Ground clearance is excellent the bottom of the header is ½” higher than the bottom of most aftermarket oil pans and slightly below a stock pan. Spark plug access is very good with angle plug heads, but tighter with straight plugs. This header WILL fit factory clutch linkage and a power brake booster. It was NOT designed for column shifter linkage or an air conditioning box on the firewall. There is not room for evacuation tubes with this header. If your car has a Lakewood style scatter shield you may have to slightly grind the outer flange under the starter area for header clearance, as this header is kept up as high as possible for ground clearance. Note:
Always check all brake lines for proper clearance around header.

This header is available in 1 ¾” tube size with 3” collectors, or a 1 7/8” or 2” tube size with 3 ½” collectors. All of our headers are hand made, so we can build any combination you need, including step design, with our slip on type race collectors or welded on pro tour collectors. We can also build them for aftermarket tall deck blocks and aftermarket cylinder heads.

What Fits:
All the tubes are inside the frame, with excellent ground clearance and spark plug access. The header is designed for aftermarket oil pans with kick out sides. The available room from a stock oil pan is 4 ½” on the passenger side and 4” on the driver side. This provides easy access to the starter and oil filter. You can use a stock starter or aftermarket starter.
The header is designed for side motor mounts using Detroit Speeds #060401 or Chris Alston’s motor mount adapters and it also fits motor plates. The steering needs to be installed per the DSE instructions.
This header comes with oxygen sensor bungs installed in the collectors. If you request a “V” band connection for your exhaust reducers then we would install the oxygen sensor bungs in the reducer which can be rotated to any position.
This header will not fit a factory air conditioning box or column shifter linkage, but it will fit a power brake booster.
Special note for LS7 engines: the LS7 stock oil pans come with dry sump oil lines on the passenger side. These oil lines will interfere with our header and need to be redirected.
Or switch to a wet sump oil pan.

Installing the headers:

Driver side: remove the center section of the steering column and install from the bottom, with spark plugs in, oil filter in and the engine in place.

Passenger side: install from the bottom, with starter in, spark plugs in and the engine in place. It’s too easy.
