This header was designed to be made in either a 1 7/8” or 2” tube size.

What Fits?

This header will fit factory clutch linkage and factory air conditioning.

Installation:

The headers install from the bottom.

Drivers Side:

Remove spark plugs and clutch linkage Z bar.

You many have to raise the engine to install the driver side header.

Passenger Side:

Passenger side installs easily from the bottom.

You can get the side pipe exhaust kit from Ecklers Corvette 800-284-3906.

This header is designed for any tube size UP TO 2 1/4” with any collector size UP TO 4” or our collector mufflers UP TO a 5” size. It is designed for the factory steering box with all of the tubes inside the frame. This is a race header and comes with individual tubes and a slip on race type collector. We kept the header tubes and collectors up as high as possible for ground clearance. The most restrictive part of the car is the floor board as it is almost even with the bottom of the frame, so we had to keep the collectors low enough for exhaust to fit under the floor. We have over 3” of room on each side of a stock oil pan for sump kick outs. The starter and oil filter are very accessible and spark plug room is good. Some oil pans with the sump kick out under the filter may trap the filter.

This header is not intended to fit a factory air conditioning box on the fire wall, clutch linkage, or power brake booster. It will fit side motor mounts or motor plates

We stock Power Master #9540 starters.

Note: It is important for you to read our Yellow (Header Installation Tips) page. It will make the installation go smother and save you time.

Installing the Headers:

You should be able to install the header with the engine, oil filter and starter in place.

Driver side: start with #1 tube, then #5 and #7 from below. Start all the header bolts, snug them but don’t tighten them. Next install #3 from the top then the slip on collector. Once the collector is bolted in place go back and tighten all of the header bolts.

Passenger side: start with #2 tube, then #6 and #8 from below. Next install #4 from the top, then the collector.
