LINDSAY WAXLER….attended the Tai Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts and holds a Master’s Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine, and is a licensed acupuncturist. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Recreational Therapy from the University of Arkansas. As a collegiate soccer athlete, Lindsay struggled to find ways to tend to the many injuries that affected her. Feeling frustrated with the suggestions of surgeries and taking pain medications, she turned to a more holistic approach to healing. Upon moving back to the Baltimore area in 2002, she steeped herself into learning more and more about herself as a patient of acupuncture first, and continued the journey as a practitioner of acupuncture. Her love for this work, has passionately led her to believe in its power to heal the body, mind and spirit.
Lindsay’s approach to natural healing has helped blossom excellent results in treating a variety of conditions such as: sports injuries, infertility, asthma/allergies, digestive disturbances (including weight control), anxiety, arthritis, chronic/acute pain, among others. Lindsay has studied Tai Chi and Qi Gong and believes in the importance of establishing and maintaining an appropriate diet and lifestyle in order to achieve radiant health. She not only provides acupuncture, but also offers nutritional counseling rooted in Chinese medicine energetics. Lindsay is known for her professional and warm bedside manner and is recognized by her patients by her gentle and reassuring presence. The signature of her practice is to empower her patients to take control of their health. Lindsay serves as the Vice President of Headers for Hope.
